Adrian Peterson Agrees to $100 Million Deal

September 10, 2011 Leave a comment Go to comments

Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings have agreed on a 7yr/$100 million deal ($36 million guaranteed). This makes AP the highest paid running back in the NFL. Peterson is the 2nd running back to collect a big pay day before the start of the 2011 season. Last month Chris Johnson who held out from reporting to the Tennessee Titans received $56 million over the next 5 years with $30 million being guaranteed. I know the Purple People Eater fans are very excited about this. Now let’s see if AP will finish as the NFL’s leading rusher in yards and td’s.

Good post. Crazy contract in both dollars and length. I know AP is the league’s best back but 7 years in way too long. There are reports though that the Vikings gave themselves a favorable out clause in the deal.
I would really appreciate some feedback on my blog @ http://manello33.wordpress.com/
