Knicks Coach Mike D’Antoni Resigns

New York Knicks head coach Mike D’Antoni has resigned from the organization today. The Knicks are currently18-24 and have lost 6 of its last 8 games in the past 2 weeks falling to six games under .500. They have fallen out of the playoff race in the Eastern Conference, and what seems to be a bit of discontent between D’Antoni and Carmelo Anthony since his return from injury may have driven this decision. Assistant coach Mike Woodson will take over the duties on a interim basis.
