Adrian Peterson Agrees to $100 Million Deal

Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings have agreed on a 7yr/$100 million deal ($36 million guaranteed). This makes AP the highest paid running back in the NFL. Peterson is the 2nd running back to collect a big pay day before the start of the 2011 season. Last month Chris Johnson who held out from reporting to the Tennessee Titans received $56 million over the next 5 years with $30 million being guaranteed. I know the Purple People Eater fans are very excited about this. Now let’s see if AP will finish as the NFL’s leading rusher in yards and td’s.
